Scraper Versions
Six specially designed versions of the Steiger family are built with added durability to handle the demands of dirt-moving applications. Whether you need to pull scrapers, dig catfish ponds, grade slopes, or level land for roads and building sites, Case IH has the scraper model for you. Select from four scraper wheeled versions and two scraper QUADTRAC tractors.
Ideal for an ejector-type scraper or a carry-all, special scraper versions of the Steiger 385, Steiger 435, Steiger 485, and Steiger 535 tractors have:
- Heavy-duty axles
- Heavy-duty, Quick-Attach scraper drawbars
- Built-in frame weight
- Differential locks
- Backup alarm
- Tow cable
- Beacon light
- High-flow, hydraulic pump
For safety on the construction jobsite, these tractors are ROPS and FOPS certified. An engine brake is available on the Steiger 485 and Steiger 535, to slow the tractor down providing less demand on the brakes.
A reinforced, rugged chassis makes short work of the heavy loads and nonstop cycles you demand. Add weights to ballast for the best performance with full scraper pans.
The Steiger power train can efficiently pull scrapers at speeds above 4 mph (6.5 kph) with engine speeds above 1700 rpm.
The electronic hydraulic system interfaces with popular laser-control land leveling systems to cut and grade precisely and automatically, eliminating the need for expensive add-on valves.
A special scraper quick hitch drawbar with tow cable works well with configurations for most popular scraper brands.
